Stress is inevitable in our modern world. How we react to stress takes skills and practice. Ease is dynamic. It comes and goes, so we need strategies to guide us back when we get pulled away from what matters most.
About Rachel
Easeful Living is the experience when life is in sync. When we are lined up with nature, with what matters most. This is about thriving in body, mind, and heart. When life is full it’s easy to get overwhelmed. Overwhelm is a byproduct of being in a reactionary mode to the twists and turns of life. And life WILL twist and turn.
After experiencing an underlying level of stress and anxiety that would present itself with social paralysis that led to over indulging in food and alcohol, then I would beat myself up and isolate. I was also a procrastinator and was weighed down by indecision. All of which left me with general discomfort in my own skin.
Then I found yoga.
Yoga led me down a path of self-discovery. I rolled out my yoga mat and began to experience myself and the world around me differently. I started meditating and studying seriously with a meditation teacher and Ayurvedic teacher online. My daily habits shifted significantly. When I began to look at my daily habits and self-care practices beyond my mat into my life, radical changes took place.
Now, I generally…
- eat seasonally and locally any time I can,
- go to bed and rise with the sun,
- schedule more time to PLAY,
- know how to get out of a funk without food or alcohol,
- don’t ruminate on the past,
- eat more plants and only when I’m hungry,
- feel lighter in my body and clearer in my mind,
- have greater compassion for myself, and question old. limiting beliefs and assumptions.
The fun part is I keep growing and learning and applying these practices, which is where the Easeful Living Community was born.
While Ayurveda is the sister science of yoga, it is the science of everyday living. It’s about aligning our lives with nature. Years of study and implementation of practices rooted in these daily habits have inspired and catalyzed my everyday living with a new depth of authenticity, connectivity, and confidence. I didn’t do any of it alone.
I’ve had powerful communities to assist me in experiencing deep transformation in my life and I want to provide that for anyone who is committed to shifting their own life.
I grew up in a small town, went to college in a small town and now live in a small town. I love small towns, but I also love to learn. I found out in 2011 that learning didn’t need to be limited by my location. I dove into meditation and ayurvedic studies from abroad. I connected with my teachers and peers over the phone and forums and my life grew exponentially. I now have a community of people I connect with all over the world and this is where the Easeful Living Community comes in.
We are building a powerful community to support and boost one another towards a way of living that isn’t all about being busy, overscheduled and spent. It’s a journey I hope you join me and the community that awaits you. Join us today.
